Jealousy.... The good, bad, and ugly....

Ok first of all I am one that suffers severely of being jealous and envious. So what I say here will be in my opinion while I do not always practise what I will preach, I am trying to get there....

Jealousy can be really good... It can help to show what is lacking in one relationship that you didn't even know wasn't there.... ie, if you go out with one partner all the time but just stay home with another, that can cause jealousy and envy. And while sometimes it is this persons fault that you end up staying home it can still cause the issues.... As a matter of fact it can cause worse issues, but we aren't going into that here.... What the jealousy and envy do though, is give you the chance to look at yourself and say "Ok that is why I am getting jealous/envious. Are these feelings valid? Of course they are. All feelings are valid.. But look at the reasons for the feelings. Are they valid reasons? If they are then of course it is time to change something so that you can eliminate what is causing the jealous feelings... Granted, I am still having a very hard time of doing all this myself...

SO basically if you look into yourself and you relationship you can determine a better course of action to take care of jealousy/envy... If you ignore it or push it under the rug that little green monster grows an grows until it is at a point where you can no longer control it...

So jealousy/envy can be good they can also be really bad... And it is mostly in the way we react or act to them that is the good or bad.....

There ya go.. My opinions on this issue.... And being an introvert I am working on getting myself to where I react in the good way instead of the bad... However being an introvert tends to make that a little difficult.... And sometimes we all need reminded of that... Not that it is difficult, but rather that it can be done........
